Stupid browser no more?

Good news for standards based developers. Microsoft have now decided that IE8 will comply with web standards by default.

While I suspect that this decision was more about retaining Microsoft's dominance in the browser market, it's also an acknowledgement that they have made things unnecessarily difficult for web developers and designers in the past.

Hopefully, the Visual Studio cowboys out there will embrace this change of attitude and actually start to concentrate on building standards compliant and accessible websites, instead of the rubbish some of them produce right now.
