Spamming people doesn’t do your campaign much good

I got this spam from the American Hunters & Shooters Association today, asking me to become a member, even though I live in Australia, and even though I hate guns:

A gun doesn’t do a hunter much good if there’s no place left to hunt.
Why won’t the NRA fight to protect public hunting lands?
Because the NRA has given MILLIONS of dollars to politicians who are handing over public hunting lands to private developers and special interests.
In fact, the NRA has contributed more than $6 MILLION to those Washington politicians.
These politicians are trying to line their pockets by giving away some of our best public hunting areas to greedy private developers. Hunters are losing public lands - where we all grew up hunting - as these elected officials use their influence in Washington to open these lands to intrusion by logging, mining, and drilling interests. Fishermen see their pasttime endangered as development efforts threaten to pollute our streams and rivers.
And the NRA refuses to fight for laws that would protect these public lands because it would go against their investment in these misguided politicians.
THE NRA ISN’T GOING TO STOP THEM.
We need an organization to represent us that cares about protecting public lands and access for hunting.

This is the absurdity of spam folks. An organisation just stupidly sends junk mail all over the world, including places where it’s completely irrelevant, and probably still expects that their “campaign” will keep their reputation intact.
