Helping small businesses use social media
A recent survey on Smartblog shows that 75% of small businesses still don't use social media for marketing.
What were the reasons?
- 35.23% don't know how they might use social media.
- 28.18% aren't sure where to start.
- 23.04% don't feel they have the time.
- 13.55% are stuck in routines, and it's hard to change habits to include new activities.
I don't know about you, but I see a huge opportunity for small business web consultants here. Social media isn't going away anytime soon. Lots of larger organisations are already using Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and other networks to improve relationships with their customers.
It's our job as web consultants to help small business owners understand the potential value of these social networks.
Sure, they don't "get it". Sure, they don't have the time.
But that's where we come in.
