Comodo personal firewall
Wednesday, 28 February 2007
While Kerio V2.15 has always been our favourite personal firewall, a number of people we know have complained that it’s “rule-based” architecture can be little hard to muster.
If you don’t want to fork out any cash for a personal firewall, there’s always ZoneAlarm which has been around for quite a few years. While ZoneAlarm is one of those “set it and forget it” type firewalls, making it good for beginners, it has been the target of numerous complaints, including being labelled as spyware.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been testing another “set it and forget it” firewall, made by the folks at Comodo, the internet security certificate providers. Comodo Firewall Pro has an excellent range of features, it’s easy to configure and doesn’t chew up your memory like some others do.
Most importantly, it offers great protection which even exceeds the paid for firewalls, according to the folks at Australian PC Magazine.
