Wordpress themes with style

For those folks who complain that even though Wordpress has hundreds of free themes they just can’t seem to find one that suits them, our very good friends over at Dr. Web Magazin have a very nice collection of some eighty-odd themes you may not have seen yet.

Picasa XML template for Simpleton

I have created a lightweight XML template for those of you using the Simpleton Image Gallery in conjunction with Picasa.

Download the Simpleton Template archive and unzip in into your Picasa “web templates” folder, usually:

c:\program files\picasa2\web\templates\

To export your images from Picasa into Simpleton, click “Folder > Export as HTML page…” and choose “Simpleton XML Code”. Then just upload into the Simpleton “content” directory, using your favourite FTP client.

Simpleton image gallery

Simpleton is an open source PHP application which enables you to view Picasa2 image galleries on the web, using nothing more than the Picasa2 XML “web export” feature and an FTP client. Simpleton parses the generated XML and renders the image galleries on the fly.

If you already use Picasa and have a website then Simpleton may be for you. It does not need a database and is easy to install, configure and use. See our products page for details.
