Adobe kuler ain’t so flash

Friday, 19 January 2007

Adobe have been promoting Kuler as their “first web-hosted application” whose reason for existing is to “create, and share color themes online”. But try actually getting Kuler to work on their website, if you use Firefox.

If you don’t have the latest version of their Flash player, you’ll get a message asking you to upgrade. So you answer “yes” and guess what happens? The stupid software pops up an error dialogue which says, in essence, that it now can’t upgrade Flash because your browser happens to be using it:

Adobe kuler ain't so flash

No thanks, Adobe. I think I’ll just stick to something that actually works. And no installation stupidity.
